Fixed wire testing

Electrical Installation Condition Report (Fixed Wire Testing)

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is an official document that is produced following an assessment of electrical installation by a qualified engineer or electrician. The assessment is based on the condition of your electrical installation and should be carried out regularly, dependent on the licencing of the building and in accordance with BS7671.

All our engineers are trained to 18th Edition BS7671 Electrical Wiring Regulation. During the inspection they check:

  • The adequacy of the earthing and bonding
  • Devices for protection against fire and electric shock
  • Any damage or wear and tear that might affect the safety of the building’s inhabitants
  • Identification of any damaged electrical fittings and accessories
  • Identification of any exposed live wires that could cause a fire or injury
  • Even though not a legal requirement it covers your organisation for electrical safety compliance to The Electricity at Work Act 1989
